Two weeks ago my mom sent one of my daughters (Ava) some birthday money. Ava already knew what she wanted to spend the money on. I tried to give her the option of saving it but she had her heart set on one of those Furreal Go Go walkin pups. Every time we went to walmart or target she would ask if i'd buy it for her. Poor girl, the answer was always "let's wait to see if you get it for Christmas". For those of you who don't know how much those things cost well let me tell you. 54.99! We ended up buying the walkin pup with her birthday money and she was so happy. Well guess what, when we got home and turned it on it wouldn't work! I put in brand new batteries and all. UGH! I returned it and got her money back. 

Today i decided to stop by the Goodwill before i had to pick kids up from school. I found a perfectly brand new Go Go walkin pup for 4.99! Yes, 4.99! Brought it home, put in some new batteries and it worked! The other $50 was spent on an American girl doll. LUCKYYYYYY! You can find some pretty good things at the Goodwill:)

Hi,

I went to Michaels today to return some clear plastic shoe boxes. I was using them to store some cookie cutters and other kitchen gadgets. The lids just weren't closing and staying on right. While there i found some really cute items in the DOLLAR isle i wanted to share with you. Best thing is, they were half off. They are there now, but not for long so hurry up and snag them while you can. I thought they'd look really cute on a wall in an entryway. I bought the letters in my last name, but they can be used to spell anything really. The melamine plates were just screaming my name. I love the mix of stripes and polka dots. I can't wait to use them for a backyard BBQ.

Working out and new camera

Hi,

Okay, so i usually jog or do boot camp 3-4 maaaaaybe 5 times on a good week. I didn't do any of it in the month of August up until yesterday. I was just way too busy trying to get the kids ready for the school year. I decided to get out and jog today. Boy is it tough getting back out there after almost 2 months! I am determined to get at it again.

I have been super excited and in love with our new camera. Canon Rebel T3i. We bought it just before Labor day which was cool because we went to the beach and it was the perfect time to try it out. All of our pictures, kids sports pics and school functions have been shot with our iPhone. Blah!! Most of the time someone came out looking like they had glowing eyes, and it wasn't anything i could fix or knew how to anyway. I tried to edit the pic, but it would tell me that it couldn't detect red eye. Anyway, gone are the days when i take pictures with an iPhone. So funny thing is, i think I'm a professional photographer after reading 3 books on photography. I also just made a camera strap cover for my new baby but i haven't taken pictures of it yet because i'm working on a second one. Will post pics of them soon.

Today is our first Born's birthday! He is the BIG 1-0! Happy Birthday my love. I wish you many, many more. You have been a blessing to your daddy and I. No better day to start a blog ( which by the way i know absolutely nothing about ) than on your birthday. You have chosen Red Lobster for your birthday dinner and I'm pretty sure your brother and sisters are excited about that as well, great choice! Ok, ok I'm mostly excited about that being that Red Lobster is on my list of top 10 restaurants. lol
